Employment Opportunity Available: DPW Laborer

The Borough of Chester is seeking a highly motivated and responsible individual to fill a full-time position within our Department of Public Works. Candidates must be a minimum 18 years of age and possess a valid NJ driver's license. CDL class B with airbrakes preferred. Successful applicant must be able to work outside in adverse weather conditions. Regular operating hours are 7:00am – 3:30pm M-F with periodic overtime on a rotating basis. Responsibilities include but not limited to, manual labor, road construction, building maintenance, landscaping, masonry, painting, vehicle maintenance, tree removal, small engine repair, trash collection etc. Prior experience in public works or related field preferred. Salary range is $45,000 - $50,000 dependent on qualifications. Pre employment drug screening and background check will be performed.
